Hobart’s own, The Scientists of Modern Music release A Personal Universe, the long anticipated follow up to their incendiary debut, Electronic Sunset, this May 18 through Rubber Records / Shock Records. The charismatic duo of Cal Young and Simon McIntosh recorded A Personal Universe over an 18 month period in their respective bedrooms before taking the tracks to London where the album was co-produced, mixed and engineered by the creative forces behind DNR, David Treahearn and Rob Haggett. The duo’s most adventurous work to date, A Personal Universe, sees The Scientists of Modern Music pushing their own boundaries to create a complete, aurally dynamic and decidedly human collection. The album was mastered by the late Nilesh Patel.
